Alyssa Freeman | Executive Director

Alyssa Freeman moved to South Florida in 2008 where she began her career with the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, serving as its executive director since 2019. Alyssa was born and raised in Southeast Michigan, where she grew up near the water enjoying boating, fishing, and water sports every summer. With an immense love of the outdoors, Alyssa values conservation and preserving nature for the benefit of future generations. She is a graduate of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a focus in public relations. Alyssa graduated with her MBA in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University. She is part of the Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2020, Leadership West Palm Beach Class of 2023, and currently serving on boards for CareerSource Palm Beach County, Forum Club of the Palm Beaches,  Junior Achievement of Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, Discover the Palm Beaches, and Barky Pines Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. In addition to spending quality time with her husband and two daughters (usually on their boat), Alyssa enjoys volunteering for other community organizations and as a Girl Scout co-leader for her daughters’ troop.

Paola Pineros | Marketing & Membership Manager

Paola Pineros leads marketing initiatives, membership engagement, and special events that support Palm Beach County's marine industry.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, and raised in South Florida, Paola developed an early appreciation for the region's waterways and coastal lifestyle. She earned her Associate in Arts degree from Palm Beach State College, studied ministerial leadership and communications through VOUS College, and later completed a Marketing Certificate at Florida Atlantic University.

Before joining MIAPBC in 2022, Paola built a background in event planning, production, and creative communications, working with organizations and small businesses throughout South Florida.

Passionate about connecting people and building community, Paola takes pride in strengthening member relationships, supporting industry growth, and advancing initiatives that give back, inspire future marine professionals, and showcase the positive impact of the marine industry throughout Palm Beach County. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Stephanie Button | Administrative Manager

Stephanie Button has a lifetime of experience in Corporate Travel and Special Events.  She spent many years booking travel for professional golfers and coordinating Special Events for the PGA of America.  One of her strongest assets is her customer service skills, which she has honed during her career to a fine edge, currently keeping the members of MIAPBC up to date on events and ensuring their overall satisfaction with the organization.

Stephanie and her husband Mike are long time Palm Beach County residents, living in Palm Beach Gardens with their two rescue dogs. Stephanie enjoys traveling, golf, bike riding and can be found most weekends on the beach. Rena serves as the director of community and government affairs for the boat show. She is a former CEO, and a nonprofit and cultural sector expert.
