Your Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIA PBC) remains concerned about the wellbeing of our members, their families and all marine businesses. We also remain supportive of the established social distancing protocol both on land and on water. We believe that the FWC has established a common sense order. Governor DeSantis has recognized, and this association believes, that boating is an essential outdoor recreational activity so long as the FWC directives are followed (FWC Executive Order No. 20-09). MIA PBC urges all boater and anglers to boat responsibly and to avoid sandbars, raft-ups and congregations of boats as per the FWC guidance. Palm Beach County boats ramps and marinas remain closed to recreational boaters, while Martin County has established less restrictive and well-reasoned measures. We continue to maintain contact with local officials so that we can all continue to boat in the near future, when it is safe to do so. As orders are updated and amended, we will continue to post them here and on our social media pages.
